Pros and cons of Scientific American Mind app for iPhone and iPad

Scientific American Mind app good for

I had forgotten I had a subscription but was able to log on and download my issues. This app makes it easy to read what I want and being electronic I can look up what I dont understand. Once I knew how to get at the main menu, it was easy to skip around different articles and issues.
Finally, some useful and interesting articles to read online :) instead of browsing brainlessly through my newsfeed, I can now learn all about the mind with just a few clicks and swipes .. A wealth of information is right at my fingertips and I couldnt be happier :)
I enjoy the chance to increase my understanding of the mind. I have passed articles on to others who I feel would also find them enlightening.
I love reading the magazine this way. Its easy and portable and I have no problems with downloading and viewing.

Some bad moments

Despite having both a print and digital subscription, I still cant read content on this app. Says active subscription found, but wants me to pay for each issue.
Confusing, often tries to charge me for new issues even though I have a subscription and am logged in, graphics & layout unpleasant & difficult to navigate. Too bad, I would have expected more from a science & tech related publication.
Constant problems getting my content to authorize and download. I have the digital and print subscription.
I was looking forward to checking the news, but I saw problem with downloadong and further instead.
Cannot load subscription, digital sub only. Trashed and tried again. Contact request was automated and useless. Want my money back, paid for a subscription that I cannot use.
Doesnt reflect my subscription for the last few issues so I tried to log out to see if it would reset the app content, now I cant log in to the app. Keeps telling me they are having technical difficulty and to try again later only to have the same message again and again for several weeks now. Very frustrating. This is not he first time either that Ive had trouble. This app seems to have some serious issues updating and syncing content. Over two months I have sent several emails and place calls to support. None of my emails were ever replied to. The only time time a received an email was after I had spent a considerable amount of time with support. They then emailed saying they had reset my account and to reply if there were any issues. I had the same issue as before and replied to their email and again no response. -- Update....Today I decided to try changing my password through the main webpage (which I have had no difficulty logging in to) and then deleted and reinstalled the app and logged in with the new password. This worked! Amazingly I had to figure out this simple solution on my own. In the end it took over three months to resolve this problem and all my emails were ignored.
